Client: Norlys

A concept from facade to office

The scope spanned the full building, starting with a large pylon sign carrying the Norlys logo at the entrance and parking area, setting the tone before visitors even step inside. Indoors, a backlit Norlys logo greets people by the elevator, while sculptural “O” shapes recur throughout the building as wall art. Tactile door and room numbers are set directly into the brick walls, tying every detail back to the same coherent identity. The result is a building where the brand is present everywhere, without ever feeling repetitive.

A distinctly Danish story

Some of the most memorable elements draw on local, Danish references. The organic, topographic pattern of the wooden “O” shapes gives the wall art a sculptural, almost landscape-like quality. In the meeting rooms, glass partitions carry a dot pattern inspired by “Sort Sol,” the natural phenomenon in the Danish Wadden Sea where thousands of starlings form sweeping, dancing formations across the evening sky. Even some of the company’s values; Responsibility, Community, and New Thinking, are made physical, spelled out in neon and placed centrally as part of the first impression of the building.

Close collaboration, careful execution

With a project spanning everything from large exterior signage to the smallest tactile details, close dialogue with Norlys has been essential throughout. Solutions have been developed and refined in close collaboration with the client, ensuring that every element, from the pylon sign to the dot pattern in the meeting rooms, fits both the building and the brand. The result is a renovation carried out with the same care and attention to detail from start to finish.
